I just spilt a whole buch of nail polish on the carpet what do i do to remove it?NEED ANSWER QUICK how do you get nail polish out of the carpet?
Sorry, but by the time you finished typing the question it was already too late. If you're going to have to cut out the carpet anyway, then trying the nail polish remove can't really hurt. Put some on a rag and carefully blot the area. You don't want it to start loosening up and ';bleed'; to another area. If it's a lot of nail polish, though, you will probably be better off to take a carpet knife or box cutter, cut a nice square spot out, and put in a patch.
I did that once... that's when we went to hardwood floors! :-)NEED ANSWER QUICK how do you get nail polish out of the carpet?
Acetone, or nail polish remover. Use a white cloth. At first it will look worse, stay after it and it will remove the polish, if it is a colored carpet, you will have to try to blend it in with powder and a little coloring agent
IF YOUR CARPET IS THICK YOU COULD TRY TO CUT SOME OF IT OUT I THINK THE REMOVER WILL DAMAGE THE COLOR OF THE CARPET BUT MOSTLY I SAY YOUR IN BIG TROUBLE TRY A CARPET COMPANY IF YOU CAN FIND ONE OPEN OR TRY ON LINE MAYBE THEY CAN HELP GOOD LUCK
nail polish remover!
The answer is this: You're screwed.
And don't listen to the Nail Polish Remover answers.
That will make it worse or completely bleach/eat away the area -- wasting your time.
The answer above, cut out the area, is the correct one -- and is what a professional will do for you. But you can try it yourself. It's not hard to do and the results will look no worse than what you already have. If if is not to your satisfaction, then call in the expert and, again, you won't be paying that much more to fix the attempt you, yourself, undertook.
