I had a bottle of base coat in my purse and somehow it broke and leaked inside. How do I clean it? How do I get out the smell? How do I get the smell of nail polish out of my purse?
After you clean it, I recommend putting one of the FRIDGE IT wafer odor absorbers - activated carbon filter in your purse. I've used these too for old purse and even hope chest, never mind in fridge and kitchen cabinets. they work great by soaking up the odor without any fragrances. Been using these for along time all around my house after a friend recommended it. I usually buy at Linens N Things but now also available on line at www.innofresh.com. No spills or chemicals to worry about. How do I get the smell of nail polish out of my purse?
to get smells out of absolutely anything, especially purse and bag spills, i always use a couple of dryer sheets and i leave them in there for several days, and i change them again after a few days if the smell is still lingering. my absolute favorite dryer sheets are either 'cling-free' in the pink box (i have only seen them at walmart) they smell like baby powder, and then if i cannot find those, i can always find bounce with febreeze built in, i think its called 'spring %26amp; renewal' they work for absolutley everything! i use them in my dresser, in luggage, in storage, in my furnace vents, everywhere! i hope this helps :)
I think people are gonna start calling me the baking soda girl, but use baking soda. Take a box and pour it mainly on the spot, stuff your purse with newspaper and let it set for at least half a day. The longer the better. Then just take a dry cloth and wipe all the baking soda out. The baking soda and newspaper absorbs the odor. It really, really works. Good luck.
Febreeze??
